Middle East Links seemed like a page we should add because that whole area is opening up for tourism and more and more adventurous travelers are heading there. We are only beginning to explore the Middle East ourselves. We had fun visiting Israel, and we really enjoyed our trip to Jordan. We visited friends who were working in Dubai and went overland with them through Oman... All were really easy to travel in. But for in depth advice, we still think these websites will give you more information than we could. We are beginning to find Middle East Links to sites written by people who do or have lived in the areas they write about. There is always lots of information from big travel sites and from official government sites, but isn't it fun to see some personal recommendations? We think it is. They will open in a new page, as do most of the links on our site, so you'll be able to come right back here to us to explore the next corner of the world. AfghanistanAlthough Afghanistan is part of Central Asia, I decided to group it with the Middle East because most Americans probably think of it in that context. That's because most Americans are mis-informed. We hope that this great site about Afghan Culture will help set things straight.Explore Afghanistan Culture! IraqIraq isn't exactly a vacation hot spot, but if you're going or know someone who is, Iraq Up Close and Personal is an interesting read.David says, "Are you bound for the Middle East? Have you been wondering what Iraq and Afghanistan are like? Well this site gives information about both..." He includes information on other counties in the Middle East. We were in Dubai ad Oman last year, and we had a great time... his tips looked good to us.
