Interesting Africa Travel Links A Close-up Look at Great Little Corners of Africa
As our interesting travel links grow, we thought it was time for a page on Interesting AFRICA Travel Links that might help you find a great little corner of Africa to explore. Yes, it's bit more adventurous than some other destinations, but there's so much to see and learn in Africa. We've traveled through much of Africa... north, south, east and west, but we haven't had time to write about many of our adventures yet. Some we just haven't had the time to visit yet! So much of the world to see. We want to remind you that these Interesting Africa Travel Links will open in a new page, so you'll be able to come back here for more information. We'll be looking for more sites to help you. Enjoy the cyber-trip!
Interesting Africa Travel Links: The North
You're probably thinking I'm going to give you interesting Africa travel links about wildlife, but let's start in the north.... in the north we've been to to Morocco, and Egypt.
I mentioned on our Africa Dream List Page that Mark had always dreamed of seeing the "Walled City of Rabat" that he had learned about from an early TV travel show. We saw Rabat and Marrakech, Fez and Casablanca... and I'll tell you about those some day.
And who hasn't dreamed of Egypt...Cairo, the Pyramids, the temples, the Nile! More stories to tell. In the meantime, learn a little more about Egypt at All About Egypt.
Interesting Africa Travel Links: The South
In the South we've visited Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Now we're talking wildlife and culture. I'll get to those stories too.

If you want to get a feel for the wilds of the Kalahari Desert and the Makgadikgadi Pan see Uncharted Africa. Our old friend Ralph Bousfield's motto is, "Give them what they never knew they wanted." You may not think this is the kind of adventure for you, but take a safari with Uncharted Africa Safari Co. and you'll see that they deliver just that.... what you didn't know you wanted!
Interesting Africa Travel Links: The East
We've thoroughly enjoyed several "traditional" safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. We've also had the thrill of tracking gorillas in the Parc National des Volcans in the Virunga Mountains of Rwanda and seeing Chimps in the Gombe National Park in Tanzania made famous by Jane Goodall. We haven't had time to write the stories, but we do have a link that will help you with Kenya.Kenya-Advisor.com has great information on things to see and do in Kenya, safari and wildlife guide, the coast region and the beaches, practical travelers information, and essays on culture, the tribes... things you should know before you take your dream trip to Africa.
Interesting Africa Travel Links: The West
We are lacking in much experience in West Africa. The only country we have visited here so far is Mali, and you can read about that on our page on Timbuktu or Dogon Country.
The fascinating thing about West African countries is the variety of cultures and art you can see and learn about. To learn about travel to Nigeria and something about the Yoruba Orisa religious practices and culture visit OsunPriestess.com Travel in Nigeria.
We hope our interesting Africa travel links will help inspire you to travel and explore.... it's not a dark continent... it's fascinating and rich in culture and wildlife. Check back often for more links.
Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! Judy and Mark
